Here's one of those arcade games that remind me of my childhood: Hot Diggity.
In Hot Diggity you control a digging machine with one aim: dig as deep as possible. When you collect enough ores, you can upgrade and expand your digging machine with spare parts. And of course like arcade games, there needs to be a time constraint, and this is realized in the form of a monster chasing you behind your back.
What makes this game really shine out is the fact that it was made in a very short time - within 48 hours! It has an engaging gameplay, and has managed to keep me coming back for more. The UI needs additional polishing work, of course, but I can forgive that.
Choose wisely when upgrading! The wrong part in the wrong location can even cause you to get stuck between rocks, but then again that is part of the appeal ;-)
